MLS Summer School 2019 Carnival Week
Day 1: Clown mask (Toddler&K1)
Today we started our fourth week of summer course: the carnival week. In class, our teacher played us a video about a circus, and we liked it a lot. For today special activity toddlers made a clown mask. First our teacher showed us an image of how we were going to make our mask, then she gave us a paper plate and we started to paste crepe paper of different colors for the hair. Then she played us a funny video of clowns. They were funny! Finally, we had fun in the class acting like clowns.
今日からサマースクール4週目のカーニバルウィークが始まりました。小さいクラスでは、最初にサーカスのビデオを見ました。みんなとても気に入った様子でした。その後、ピエロのお面を作りました。見本の写真を先生が見せてくれた後に、様々な色の紙を細く切って、紙皿に髪の毛のように貼っていきました。それが終わると、ピエロのビデオを見ました。最後に、みんなでピエロのマネをして遊びました。
Hoy comenzamos nuestra cuarta semana de curso de verano: semana de carnaval. En clase nuestra maestra nos puso un video del circo y nos gustó mucho. Para la actividad especial de hoy, los niños pequeños hicieron una máscara de payaso. Primero la maestra nos enseñó una imagen de como haríamos nuestra mascara, después nos dio un plato de papel y comenzamos a pegar papel crepe de diferentes colores como el cabello. Después nos puso un video de payasos. ¡Eran muy graciosos! Al final nos divertimos mucho en clase actuando como payasos.
Day 1: Ring Toss (K2&K3) Today in our summer course in K2 and K3 we had the first day of our Carnival Week. The teacher first showed us the materials we would use for our activity. First, we pasted a paper roll on a plate, and then we painted it blue. When we finished it, we started to cut one of the plates to remove the center and then we painted it purple. At last, we did the same with another plate and after that, we painted it green. We had a lot of fun cutting and painting with three different colors. Now we have our "Ring Toss" to play at any time. 今日はカーニバルウィークの1日目でした。最初に、今日使う材料の名前を先生と一緒に確認した後、のりを使ってトイレットペーパーの芯を紙皿に貼り、青色に塗っていきました。その後、紙皿の真ん中をくり抜き、1枚を紫色に塗り、もう1枚を緑色に塗りました。みんな楽しく紙皿を切ったり、色を塗ったりしていました。今日作った輪投げセットで、お家で楽しく遊んでください！
Hoy en nuestro curso de verano en K2 y K3 tuvimos nuestro primer día de la semana de carnaval. La maestra nos enseñó los materiales que ocuparíamos para nuestra actividad. Primero pegamos un rollo de papel en un plato para poder pintarlo de color azul. Cuando terminamos empezamos a recortar uno de los platos para quitarle el centro y después lo pintamos de color morado. Después hicimos lo mismo con otro plato y éste lo pintamos de color verde. Nos divertimos mucho recortando y pintando con tres diferentes colores. Ahora tenemos nuestro "Ring Toss" para poder jugar en cualquier momento.
Day 1: Miracle Milk Carton (Elementary schooler)
Today was our first day of carnival week. We started the day by learning the question words in English and when to use which. Our teacher gave us some examples and then we did a small exercise to match the right question with the right answer. Then, our teacher showed us summer vocabulary and we played a guessing game to memorize the words. In the afternoon we made a periscope with milk cartons, fabric, and mirrors. We started by cutting the top and bottom of the cartons, and then we taped them in the shape of “C“. We placed the mirrors in the edges and finally, we decorated it with multiple stickers. It was super fun!
今日はカーニバルウィークの1日目でした。午前中は英語での質問の仕方と、whichの使い方について勉強しました。先生がいくつか例を挙げながら説明をしてから、質問文とその答えになる英文のペアを作るという簡単な練習問題をやりました。その後、夏に関する単語について勉強し、ゲームをしながら覚えていきました。午後は、牛乳のパック・布・鏡を使って望遠鏡を作りました。まず牛乳パックの上と下を切り、テープを使って「コ」の字になるように牛乳パックを組み合わせていきました。その後鏡を牛乳パックの端に取り付け、最後にシールで牛乳パックの飾り付けをしました。とても楽しくできました。
Hoy fue nuestro primer día de la semana de carnaval. Empezamos el día aprendiendo las palabras de pregunta del inglés y cómo usarlas. Nuestra maestra nos enseñó varios ejemplos y después hicimos un ejercicio para conectar las preguntas con las respuestas correctas. Nuestra maestra nos mostró después vocabulario de verano e hicimos un juego de adivinanzas para memorizarlo. En la tarde hicimos un periscopio con cartones de leche, tela y espejos. Empezamos cortando la tapa y base de los cartones, luego los pegamos en forma de “C”. Pusimos los espejos en las esquinas y finalmente lo decoramos con estampas. ¡Fue súper divertido!
Day 2: Carnival Popcorn Pops 🍿(Toddler & K1)
Today in our second day of carnival week, our teacher played us a story of a carnival. We had fun because we saw many games, animals, and colors. Then we saw another video of cooking popcorns, we liked it! For today special activity toddlers made a carnival popcorn pop. Our teacher taught us the names of the ingredients that we were going to use such as popcorn, butter, marshmallows, and sugar. Then we started mixing the popcorns and the marshmallows, when we finished we made small balls to make our popcorn pop. It was delicious! 今日はカーニバルウィークの2日目でした。まずカーニバルのビデオを見ました。たくさんのゲームや動物、色が出てきたので、みんなとても楽しそうでした。その後、ポップコーンが作られている様子をビデオで見てから、ポップコーンキャンディーを作りました。ポップコーンやバター、マシュマロや砂糖など、今日使う材料を先生に教えてもらった後、マシュマロとポップコーンを混ぜ合わせました。そしてそれをボールの形にして完成しました。とてもおいしかったです。 Hoy en nuestro segundo día de la semana de carnaval, nuestra maestra nos puso un video de carnaval, nos divertimos porque vimos muchos animales, juegos y colores. Después vimos otro video de como cocinar palomitas de maíz, ¡Nos gustó! Para la actividad especial de hoy los niños pequeños hicieron paletas de palomitas de maíz de carnaval. Nuestra maestra nos enseñó el nombre de los ingredientes que utilizaríamos hoy, tales como: palomitas de maíz, mantequilla, bombones y azúcar. Después mezclamos las palomitas y los bombones, luego hicimos pequeñas bolas para hacer nuestras paletas de palomitas. ¡Estaban deliciosas!
Day 2:Big Top Circus Slime 🎪(K2&K3)
Today in the second day of our carnival week with K2 and K3, the teacher showed us the different materials that we would use to make slime. It was so fun because we made two slimes, one white, and one blue. We really liked making the shape with our hands. Finally, we combined them. We made certain shapes with it, such as ducks, faces, bears, hearts, etc.. We had a lot of fun shaping our slime. We loved this activity.
今日はカーニバルウィークの2日目でした。大きいクラスでは、まずスライムを作るのに使う材料を先生が教えてくれました。その後、白と青のスライムを作り、できあがった2つのスライムを組み合わせました。スライムの感触が気持ち良かったようで、みんな楽しそうに自分の手で作業をしていました。最後に、アヒルや人の顔、クマやハートなど、それぞれ好きな形にしていきました。みんなで楽しくスライムを作ることができました。
Hoy en nuestro segundo día de nuestra semana de carnaval con K2 and K3, la maestra nos enseñó los diferentes materiales que utilizariamos para hacer slime. Fue súper divertido porque realizamos dos slime, uno de color blanco y otro azul. Nos gustó mucho poderlo hacer con nuestras manos y al final ver el resultado de los dos y poder combinarlos. Hicimos ciertas formas con él, como patos, caras, osos, corazones, nos divertimos mucho moldeando nuestro slime. Nos encantó esta actividad.
Day 2: Balloon Art 🎈(Elementary Schoolers)
Today in our summer course we learned ordinal numbers to talk about dates. We also learned the vocabulary for days of the week and months. We then had to guess with months was the right one based on the ordinal number of it. At the end, we played bingo with the days of the week and months. In the afternoon we made a hanging decoration of a hot air balloon. We used different pattern and color papers, glue and strings. We started by cutting the shape of the balloon eight times and pasting them together. For the basket, our teacher showed us how to make paper stars. Our decorations were beautiful!
今日はまず日付を表すときに使う数字（1～31）や曜日、月（1月、2月...）などについて勉強しました。そして、数字を見ながら、「〇月」と英語でどのように言うか考えるゲームをしました。（例：1を見て、英語で1月とどのように言うか考える。）またビンゴゲームをしながら、今日の内容の復習をしました。午後は、気球の飾りをみんなで作りました。いろいろな柄や色の紙を気球の形に切って、それらをのりで貼り合わせ、上に糸を付けました。かごの部分は、先生に星形の紙の作り方を教わりました。とてもきれいにできました。
Hoy en nuestro curso aprendimos los números ordinales para hablar de fechas. También aprendimos el vocabulario de días de la semana y los meses, Después tuvimos que adivinar que mes era el correcto según el número ordinal. Al final, jugamos bingo con los días y los meses. En la tarde hicimos una decoración colgante en forma de globo aerostático. Usamos hojas de diferentes patrones y colores, pegamento e hilo. Empezamos por cortar 8 figuras de globo y pegarlas entre ellas. Para la canasta, nuestra maestra nos mostró como hacer estrellas de papel. ¡Nuestra decoración estuvo muy bonita!
Day 3: Marry-Go-Round (Todder&K1)
Today in our summer course our teacher taught us some names of games that we can find in a carnival, we also saw a video about it. It was fun! For today’s special activity toddlers made a Merry-go-round. First, our teacher played us a video about Merry-go-rounds, then she told us the names of the materials: paper plates, paint, tape, and straws. We started painting the paper plates, we choose the color we liked. Our mary-go-round is beautiful.
小さいクラスではまずサーカスで行われる演目の名前について、ビデオを見ながら勉強しました。その後、メリーゴーランドを作りました。メリーゴーランドのビデオを見た後、紙皿、絵の具、テープ、ストローなど、今日使う材料の名前を、先生と一緒に確認しました。それぞれが好きな色で、きれいに紙皿を塗ることができました。
Hoy en nuestro curso de verano nuestra maestra nos enseñó nombres de juegos que podemos encontrar en un carnaval, también vimos un video acerca de ello. ¡Estaba divertido! Para la actividad especial de hoy, los niños pequeños hicieron un carrusel. Primero nuestra maestra nos puso un video sobre carruseles, después nos dijo los nombres de los materiales: platos de papel, pintura, cinta y popotes. Empezamos pintando los platos, nosotros escogimos el color que nos gustaba. Nuestro carrusel quedó hermoso.
Day 3: Lion Mask 🦁(K2&K3)
Today in our summer course, in K2 and K3, our teacher played us a video about the animals and their sounds, we liked it a lot. For our special activity, we made a lion mask. First, our teacher showed us an image of how we were going to make our mask, then she gave us an image that would be our lion mask, and we could color it with different colors. We loved this activity. Finally, we had fun in the class playing with our masks.
今日の大きいクラスでは、最初に動物がどんな泣き声なのかを、ビデオを見て勉強しました。その後みんなでライオンのお面を作りました。先生が作り方を教えてくれた後、お手本を見ながら、お面を好きな色で塗っていきました。完成した後、みんなでお面を使って楽しく遊びました。
Hoy en nuestro curso de verano, en K2 y K3, la maestra nos puso un video de los animales y sus sonidos, nos gustó mucho. Para la actividad especial de hoy, hicimos una máscara de leon. Primero la maestra nos enseñó una imagen de como haríamos nuestra máscara, después nos dio una imagen que sería nuestra máscara de león que pudimos dibujar con muchos colores diferentes. Nos encantó esta actividad. Al final nos divertimos mucho en clase jugando con nuestras máscaras.
Day 3: Mini Pineapple Cake 🧁 (Elementary school class)
Today during the morning our teacher taught us the actions verbs we use for school, like erasing, listening or coloring. Then we made an exercise about it. Afterwards, we learned about carnival costumes and did a word-search about them. It was fun, and we could win chocolate. In the afternoon we baked a mini upside-down pineapple cake. Our teacher showed us all the ingredients we were going to use. First, we prepared a cake mix, then cut pineapples and cherries in pieces, and at the end fill the flower-shaped tin with pineapple, cherries and the cake mix. We baked it for 15 minutes. It was delicious!
今日はまず午前中に、「消す・聞く・色を塗る」などの学校で使う動詞について勉強し、復習として練習問題をしたり、正方形の中に並べられたアルファベットの中から、英単語を探すゲームをしました。みんな完成させることができたので、ご褒美にチョコレートをもらいましいた。午後は、パイナップルを使ってミニケーキを作りました。最初に材料を先生と一緒に確認した後、ホットケーキミックスを混ぜて、パイナップルとサクランボを切り、それらをお花の形をした型に入れ、15分焼きました。とてもおいしかったです。
Hoy durante la mañana nuestra maestra nos enseñó los verbos de acción que usamos para la escuela, como borrar, escuchar y colorear. Después hicimos una actividad sobre ello. Finalmente aprendimos sobre disfraces de carnaval e hicimos una sopa de letras sobre ellos. Fue divertido y podíamos ganar un chocolate. En la tarde cocinamos un mini pastel del volteado de piña. Primero preparamos la masa, después cortamos la piña y las cerezas en trozos pequeños y al final llenamos moldes pequeños de flores con la piña, cereza y mezcla de pastel. Lo cocinamos por 15 minutos. ¡Fue delicioso!
Day 4: Carnival Pops 🍏(Todder&K1)
Today on our fourth day of carnival week, our teacher showed us some images of what we should do before we cook something. For today's special activity, toddlers made carnival pops. Our teacher showed us the ingredients that we were going to use. We guessed the names, apples, chocolate, and sprinkles. Then she played us a video of how we were going to do our pops. We covered our apples with chocolate, and we put some sprinkles around it, it smelled good! Then our teacher put then in the freezer. They were delicious!
今日はカーニバルウィークの4日目でした。最初に先生が今日作るものの写真を写真で見せてくれました。小さいクラスでは今日リンゴを使ってお菓子を作りました。材料の名前を先生が教えてくれた後、ビデオを見て作り方を確認しました。リンゴをチョコレートでコーティングして、チョコのトッピングを全体にまぶして完成しました。とてもいい匂いがしました。冷蔵庫で冷やし固めてから、みんなで食べました。とてもおいしかったです。 Hoy en nuestro cuarto día de la semana de carnaval, nuestra maestra nos enseñó unas imágenes de que debemos hacer antes de cocinar algo. Para la actividad especial de hoy, los niños pequeños hicieron paletas de carnaval. Nuestra maestra nos enseñó los ingredientes que utilizaríamos. Nosotros adivinamos el nombre: manzanas, chocolates y chispas de colores. Después nos puso un video de como haríamos nuestras paletas. Cubrimos la manzana de chocolate y pusimos chispas de colores alrededor. ¡Olía bien! Luego nuestro maestro los puso en el congelador. ¡Estaban deliciosos!
Day3: Circus Train 🚃(K2&K3)
Today in our summer course, in K2 and K3, our teacher played us a video about the circus. We like it a lot. For our special activity, we made the Circus Train. First, our teacher showed us an image of how we were going to make Circus Train and gave us some coloring pictures of animals and clowns. We started to color all the images, cropped them correctly, pasted them on the sheets of different colors and decorated the trains with our favorite stickers. Our teacher connected the train cars by taping craft sticks at the back of the cars. We had a lot of fun.
大きいクラスでは、まずサーカスのビデオを見ました。その後、みんなでサーカス電車を作りました。最初に先生が作り方を教えてくれた後、動物やピエロの絵を配ってくれました。それを色鉛筆で色を塗り、切り抜いて色紙に貼ってから、好きなシールで飾り付けをしました。最後に先生が木の棒で電車をつなげて完成しました。とても楽しかったです。
Hoy en nuestro curso de verano, en K2 y K3, el maestro nos puso un video de un carnaval, y nos gustó mucho. Para la actividad especial de hoy, hicimos un tren del circo. Primero el maestro nos enseñó cómo haríamos nuestro tren del circo, después nos dio unas imagenes de animales y payasos que pudimos dibujar. Las recortamos y pegamos en papeles colores diferentes que nos dio el profesor. El maestro conectó los coches del tren con palos. Nos encantó esta actividad.
Day4: Plant Dyeing T-shirt 🌱🌺(Elementary school class)
Today we started by learning the indefinite and definite articles: a, an, and the. Our teacher gave us a small exercise about it and with that, we then learned about professions with the pronouns he and she. Like: He is an artist. In the afternoon we learned how to dye white cotton fabric with plants. To make the color stay we first boiled some t-shirts in a water and alum solution. After it, we made fabric dyes with Jamaica flower and Oolong tea. We mixed them together and got a dark red color. Finally, we soaked our t-shirts in color. We must leave them overnight, but we can’t wait to see the results!
今日の午前中はa,an,theなどの定冠詞と不定冠詞について、簡単な練習問題を解きながら学びました。その後は職業に関する英単語を、「He is ~.」「She is ~.」という文を作りながら勉強しました。午後は、草木染をしました。まずTシャツをお湯に入れた後、ミョウバン液にも浸けました。そして、ジャマイカの花とウーロン茶を使って染めていきました。2つを混ぜ合わせると、暗い赤色になりました。最後に、その混ぜ合わせたものにTシャツを入れました。一晩浸けておかなければなりませんが、どんな色になるかすごく楽しみです。
Hoy empezamos por aprender los artículos indefinidos y definidos: un, una y los. Nuestra profesora nos dio un pequeño ejercicio sobre ello y con eso aprendimos sobre profesiones usando los pronombres él y ella. Como: Él es un artista. En la tarde aprendimos a teñir tela con plantas. Para fijar el color primero hervimos unas playeras en agua y alumbre. Después hicimos tintes para tela con flores de Jamaica y té Oolong. Mezclamos ambos juntos y obtuvimos un color rojo obscuro. Al final remojamos las playeras en el color. Debemos dejarlas remojando en la noche, ¡pero esperamos con ansias los resultados!
Day5: Fine Motor Popcorn Art 🍿(Todder&K1) Today is our last day of the carnival week. Our teacher put us a video of “Do you like Broccoli Ice Cream?”. Then, she asked us “Do you like ~?”, and we answered. For our special activity, we made Fine Motor Popcorn. First, we colored the popcorn case on the sheet and pasted cotton like popcorns. Finally, we colored the cotton with pipettes. It was fun and we enjoyed ourselves a lot.
今日はカーニバルウィークの最終日でした。小さいクラスでは、まず「ブロッコリーアイスクリームは好き？」というビデオを見て食べ物の名前をお勉強した後、先生が「～が好き？」と英語で聞いて、みんなでYesまたはNoと答えました。その後、ポップコーンアートを作りました。まず、ポップコーンの箱の絵に色を塗り、その紙にポップコーンのようにコットンをつけていきました。その後, ピペットでコットンに色をつけて完成しました。みんな楽しんでいました。
Hoy en nuestro ultimo día de la semana de carnaval, nuestra maestra nos puso un video “¿Te gusta el helado de brócoli?”. Después nos preguntó “¿Te gusta ~?”, y contestamos. Para nuestra actividad especial hicimos nuestra pintura de palomitas. Primero coloreamos la caja de palomitas en papel, y pegamos algodón como palomitas. Después coloreamos el algodón con pipeta. Fue muy divertido y nos encantó esta actividad.
Day5 : Oreo Cheese Cake 🍰(K2&K3)
Today on our last day of the carnival week, our teacher played us a video about the cakes and how they are made, we had a lot of fun because we saw many types of cakes of different colors. For our special activity, we made Oreo cheesecake. First, the teacher showed us the name of the ingredients we would use, such as flour, heavy cream, cream cheese, sugar, and oreo cookies. After gradually mixing all the ingredients, we were adding each one. To finish all our mix, we put it in a base with oreo cookie, we put it in the freezer to wait for it to be done. We loved cooking a cake today. It was fun.
今日はカーニバルウィークの最終日でした。最初にケーキの作り方を、ビデオを見ながら確認しました。いろんな色のケーキがあって、とても楽しかったです。その後、オレオのチーズケーキを作りました。まず、小麦粉・クリーム・砂糖・オレオクッキーといった材料の名前を先生が教えてくれました。そして、その材料を混ぜ合わせていきました。最後に、全部かきまぜた生地の上に、オレオを置いて冷蔵庫で冷やし固めて完成しました。みんな楽しそうにケーキを作っていました。
Hoy en nuestro ultimo día de la semana de carnaval, nuestra maestra nos puso un video sobre los pasteles y como se elaboran, nos divertimos mucho porque vimos muchos tipos de pasteles de diferentes colores. Para nuestra actividad especial hicimos nuestro pastel de queso de oreo. Primero la maestra nos enseñó el nombre de los ingredientes que utilizaríamos, tales como: harina, crema chantilly, queso crema, azúcar y galletas oreo. Después mezclamos poco a poco todos los ingredientes; íbamos añadiendo cada uno. Para finalizar toda nuestra mezcla la pusimos en una base con galleta oreo , la pusimos en el congelador para esperar a que terminara de hacerse. Nos encantó cocinar hoy un pastel. Fue muy divertido.
Day5: Plant Dyeing T-shirt👚&Colorful Fire 🔥 (Elementary school class) Today was our last day of the summer course. We learned about clothes and how to describe them. Then we learned how to explain what we wear. Our teacher made us draw our clothes and then write a description of them. It was fun! In the afternoon we finished our t-shirts. Yesterday we dyed them dark red, but after washing them they were dark pink. Our teacher then gave us chlorine to paint the figures on the fabric. She helped us draw the shapes we wanted and then we drew them with a brush and chlorine. It was hard but the results were amazing!
今日はカーニバルウィークの最終日でした。最初に、普段身につけるもの（服など）について勉強しました。先生が服の絵を描いてくれたので、その絵を使って、何を身につけているのかを英語で表現する練習をしました。とても楽しかったです。午後は、まず昨日の草木染めができあがっていたので、それを見に行きました。昨日は暗い赤色でしたが、一晩経ったら暗いピンク色になっていました。その後塩素とブラシを使って、先生に手伝ってもらいながら模様を描きました。とても大変でしたが、楽しかったです。
Hoy fue nuestro último día de curso de verano. Aprendimos sobre ropa y como describirla. Después aprendimos a explicar lo que usamos. Nuestra maestra nos hizo dibujas nuestra ropa y escribir una descripción. ¡Fue divertido! En la tarde terminamos nuestras playeras. Ayer las pintamos de rojo obscuro, pero tras lavarles el exceso de tinta quedaron rosa obscuro. Nuestra maestra luego nos dio cloro para pintar figuras en la tela. Ella nos ayudó a dibujas las formas y nosotros las repasábamos con un pincel y cloro. ¡Fue difícil, pero valió la pena!
