MLS Winter School 2018 Christmas Week (Kindergarten)

Day 1

Today was our first day of Winter School. In class we saw the vocabulary for the materials we were going to use on the activity, our teacher told us what the names of the materials were and then we had to spell them for our teacher to write the words on the board. We did a great job.

Then the activity began. Our teacher poured some cornstarch and body lotion on the table for each one of us to mixed together and make a dough after we finished making the dough she put iridescent glitter over the dough for us to mix it with the dough. It was beautiful. When we finished, we all helped clean up the classroom.

今日から幼稚園でもウインタースクールがはじまりました。クラスではまず、ゲームをしながら単語の勉強をしました。先生が黒板に書いた字を読む練習をしました。とてもよくできました。年中さんと年長さんは今日のアクティビティ「Icy Cold Snow Dough」を自分たちで読むことができました。

いよいよアクティビティが始まります。先生からもらったコーンスターチとボディクリームを混ぜていきます。どんどんこねると固まって粘土のようになりました。先生にキラキラの粉をもらって混ぜてみるとキラキラして本当の雪みたい。雪だるまを作ったり雪の小道を作ったり、楽しく遊びました。終わったあとはみんなで教室をピカピカにしました。

Hoy fue nuestro primer día de la escuela de invierno. En clase vimos el vocabulario de los materiales que íbamos a usar en la actividad de hoy, la maestra nos dijo el nombre y nosotros teníamos que deletrearlos para que ella los escribiera en el pizarrón. Lo hicimos muy bien.

Luego empezó la actividad. La maestra puso maizena y crema para cuerpo en la mesa para cada uno de nosotros para que la mezclaramos e hiciéramos una masa, cuando terminamos de hacerla nos puso brillantina iridiscente sobre la masa para mezclarla con la masa. Quedó muy bonita. Cuando terminamos, todos ayudamos a limpiar el salón.

Day 2

Today in our English class we identified the capital letters and constructed and read words related to the Christmas Season like "Santa", "Reindeer" and "Snowman", we also sang Jingle Bells and Twelve Days of Christmas.

For our special activity Toddlers and K1 made a Olaf the sock snowman, we had fun filling up our socks and making our Olafs.

Today for our activity in Winter School, K2 and K3 made a Christmas Tree Thread Roll. Our teacher helped us made a cone out of cardboard paper, she handed us a piece of plastic paper which we used to wrap the cone in, then she gave us green yarn and a container with glue mixed with water in which we need to soaked the yarn to paste it around the cone.

We are letting it dry. It was a sticky activity but we enjoyed it.

今日の英語のクラスでは、先生が白板に大文字で書いたクリスマスの季節に関係する単語(サンタ、トナカイ、雪だるまなど)を自分たちで読んでみました。自分たちで言葉を読めるのがうれしいようで、みんな先生が言葉を書き終わるのを身を乗り出して見ていました。また、「ジングルベル」や「クリスマスの12日間」の歌を歌いました。

今日のアクティビティは２つのグループに分かれて行いました。ベビークラス＆年少は雪だるま「オラフ」を作りました。まずは靴下の中に綿を入れます。しっかり詰めたら先生に紐で形を作ってもらいます。最後にオラフの目・鼻・口・ボタン・手・足を貼りつけました。可愛い顔のオラフができてみんな「かわいい」とオラフにハグしていました。

年中＆年長グループは糸でクリスマスツリー作りをしました。画用紙でできたコーンに、緑色の毛糸を巻きつけていきます。今晩乾燥させたら、明日そうっと画用紙を剥がしたいと思います。明日が楽しみだね！

Hoy en clase de Inglés identificamos las letras mayúsculas y construimos y leímos palabras relacionadas con la temporada navideña como "Santa", "Reno" y "Muñeco de nieve", también cantamos Jingle bells y Doce días de navidad.

Para nuestra actividad especial los grupos de maternal y K1 hicimos a Olaf el muñeco de nieve de calcetín, nos divertimos mucho rellenando nuestros calcetines y haciendo nuestros Olafs.

Para la actividad del día de hoy del curso de invierno, K2 y K3 hicimos un árbol de navidad con estambre. Nuestra maestra nos ayudó a hacer los conos y nos dio un pedazo de plástico para envolver el cono, después nos dio un pedazo de estambre verde y un contenedor que tenía agua con pegamento que usamos para mojar el estambre y poder pegarlo alrededor del cono. Lo estamos dejando secar. Fue una actividad pegajosa pero la disfrutamos.

Day 3

Today in our English class we learned about when Christmas Eve and Christmas day are celebrated, we watched a story called "Twas the night before Christmas".

Today toddler&K1 had so much fun making our Grinch Kabobs, which was our dessert for our lunch, our very own healthy snack. It consisted of three fruits: green grapes, strawberries and banana, and in the top a little marshmallow to represent the famous Dr. Seuss character “The Grinch”, the grape for the head, and the banana, the strawberry and the marshmallow for the Christmas hat. We had so much fun reviewing the fruits and making our own Grinch Kabob.

For our special activity, K2&K3 made a milk carton Gingerbread House. Our teacher handed out the ingredients for each of us, we used frosting to paste the cookies on the milk carton and we used frosting again to paste the candies, it was yummy!

今日のクラスではクリスマスイブとクリスマスをいつお祝いするか話し合いました。先生が「クリスマスのまえのばん」のお話を聞かせてくれました。

今日のアクティビティは２つのグループに分かれて行いました。

ベビークラス＆年長はグリンチみたいなフルーツケバブを作りました。まずはマスカットに竹串を刺して、グリンチの顔にします。次にバナナ・いちごを使ってグリンチがかぶるサンタの帽子にします。最後にマシュマロをちょこんと載せて帽子のぼんぼんが出来上がり。お昼ご飯のデザートにおいしく食べました。

年中＆年長は、牛乳パックを使ってお菓子の家を作りました。牛乳パックにクリームを塗って、その上にクッキーを貼っておうちにします。キャンディで飾り付けをして完成です。かわいくってあまーいお菓子の家ができました。

Hoy en clase de Inglés aprendimos cuando se celebra Noche Buena y Navidad, vimos una historia llamada " 'Twas the night before Christmas".

El día de hoy el grupo de maternal y K1 nos divertimos mucho haciendo nuestras brochetas del Grinch, las cuales fueron nuestro postre para el almuerzo, nuestra merienda saludable. Consistió de tres frutas: uvas verdes, fresas y plátanos y en la punta en pequeño malvavisco para representar al famoso personaje del Dr. Seuss “El Grinch”, la uva para la cabeza, el plátano, la fresa y el malvavisco para el gorro de Navidad. Nos divertimos mucho repasando las frutas y haciendo nuestra brocheta del Grinch.

Para nuestra actividad especial, K2 y K3 hicimos una casa de pan de jengibre. La maestra nos repartió los ingredientes a cada uno, usamos betún para pegar las galletas en el cartón de leche y también para pegar los dulces, ¡estuvo delicioso!

Day 4

Toddler&K1

Today we became Snowmen! After we reviewed the colors in English we saw the “Frosty the Snowman” classic animated short and we were ready to be like him. We made our mask using foamy paper, paper plates, origami paper, glitter and a stick. We pasted the parts all together, the hat, the stripe, and the snowflake, we had so much fun being like Frosty today!

K2&K3

Today in our English class we reviewed when Christmas is celebrated. We also did a spelling game with the word Santa, and we sang "Santa is his Name-O". For our special activity, we made a Santa Puppet using a milk carton, the teacher helped us cut the shape that we need out of the milk carton, she handed us some paper so we can color it red, and some other colored paper that we paste it on the milk carton to make Santa's hat and face. Then with crayon, we draw Santa's eyes, nose, cheeks and buttons. At the end we paste some cotton to complete Santa's hat and his beard.

ベビークラス＆年少

今日は雪だるまになっちゃいました。英語で色を復習した後、「フロスティ・ザ・スノーマン～温かい雪だるま～」のビデオを見て雪だるまになりきる準備万端！厚紙、紙皿、折り紙、ラメと棒を使って雪だるまのお面を作ります。紙皿に雪だるまの帽子、帽子の飾り、持ち手を貼りつけて完成です。カバンから何度も取り出して自慢の雪だるまを確認していました。

年中＆年長

今日のクラスでは、クリスマスがいつお祝いされるかを考えました。その後はスペリングのゲームをしたりサンタの歌を歌ったりしました。今日のアクティビティはサンタのパクパクを作りました。まず、牛乳パックに折り紙を貼りつけてサンタさんにします。次に、クレヨンでサンタの顔と体を描きます。最後にサンタのひげと帽子に綿をつけて完成です。みんなでパクパク動かしながらサンタの歌を歌いました。

Hoy en clase de Inglés repasamos cuándo se celebra la navidad. También jugamos a deletrear la palabra Santa y cantamos "Santa is his Name-O".

Maternal y K1

¡Hoy nos convertimos en muñecos de nieve! Después de que repasamos los colores en clase de inglés vimos el clásico corto animado de “Frosty el muñeco de nieve” y nos dispusimos a ser como él. Hicimos nuestras mascaras usando papel foamy, platos desechables, papel de origami, diamantina y un palito. Nuestro profesor corto por nosotros el plato desechable y nosotros le ayudamos pegando todo, el sombrero, el listón y el copo de nieve, ¡nos divertimos mucho siendo como Frosty hoy!

K2 y K3

Para nuestra actividad, hicimos un títere de Santa con un cartón de leche, la maestra nos ayudó a cortar el cartón con la forma que necesitábamos, nos repartió papel para que lo colorearamos de color rojo y otro papel de color para que lo pegaramos en el cartón, para hacer el gorro y la cara de Santa. Luego con crayolas, dibujamos los ojos, nariz, mejillas y los botones de Santa. Al final pegamos algodón para completar el gorro y la barba de Santa.

Day 5 Today was our last day of our winter course! We had so much fun in this past couple of days and now we’re ready to celebrate the holidays! Today was a very special day since we became cooks; we needed to make something special for our last day and we did! We cooked chocolate dumplings and it was awesome! Our teachers helped us a lot to make them since they taught us what the names of the ingredients we were going to use such as flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk, butter, and hazelnut cream. After that they helped us to mix them and prepare the dough, then we waited a little bit to let the dough settle, after that we prepared the dumplings with the hazelnut cream, yummy! Then our teacher helped us to cook them and after a little wait they were ready! We had so much fun cooking today and preparing our own little treat. 今日はウィンタースクール最終日でした。最後の日をみんなで楽しく過ごそう！と今日はチョコまんを作りました。先生に材料の名前を教えてもらってスタート！小麦粉、砂糖、塩、バター、牛乳、ベーキングパウダーを混ぜ合わせて生地を作ります。生地を休めたら、中にクリームをつめて包みます。先生に焼いてもらったら完成！ほかほかおいしいチョコまんができたね。本年は大変お世話になりました。よいお年をお迎えください。 ¡Hoy fue nuestro último día de nuestro curso de invierno! Nos divertimos mucho en estos últimos días y ahora estamos listos para celebrar las fiestas. Hoy fue un día muy especial ya que nos convertimos en cocineros; ¡Necesitábamos hacer algo especial para nuestro último día y lo hicimos! ¡Cocinamos dumplings de chocolate y fue increíble! Nuestros maestros nos ayudaron mucho a prepararlos, ya que nos enseñaron cuáles eran los nombres de los ingredientes que íbamos a usar, como harina, azúcar, sal, levadura en polvo, leche, mantequilla y crema de avellanas. Después de eso nos ayudaron a mezclarlos y preparar la masa, luego esperamos un poco para que la masa se asentara y luego preparamos los dumplings con la crema de avellanas, ¡delicioso! ¡Entonces nuestra maestra nos ayudó a cocinarlos y después de una pequeña espera estaban listos! Nos divertimos mucho cocinando hoy y preparando nuestro propio bocadillo.
